The 1994 tribute album "If I were a Carpenter" with recordings by 14 alternative rock bands.  This section also includes albums by Ferrante & Teischer, Arthur Fiedler and the Boston Pops, and the soundtrack to "Bless the Beasts and the Children"  There are many other tribute albums out there, but I have purchased some of more well-known artists from their time period.
