Choral Octavos

After being a Carpenters fan most of my life AND a high school choral conductor for 30, this page brings two important things together.

Two of the songs were given to me by a dear friend whose husband had been a choral director for a number of years.

Three of the pieces I had choirs perform at various times.  Both "Merry Christmas Darling" and "A Song for You" were sung by one of my choirs on a concert and "Crescent Noon" was sung two or three different years on our winter concert.

The cool thing about "Crescent Noon" is that it is NOT an arrangement, but the actual SATB piece that Richard Carpenter wrote for his college choir California State University - Long Beach under the director of Frank Pooler.
