Ferrante and Teicher were classmates at Julliard and met in 1930.  After graduation, they both became faculty there.  They began their professional partnership in 1947.

Between 1950-1980 they were a major Easy Listening act, scoring four big US hits.

This album of Carpenters hits was recorded in 1976.  In addition to songs recorded by the Carpenters, there are two extras, one on the end of each side.
